This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to perform basic rope rescue operations utilizing appropriate equipment, methodologies, protocols, and patient and resource management techniques.
The course covers Chapters “5.1 Awareness Level” and “5.2 Operations Level” general requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006, Standard For Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications (2021 Edition).
Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to receive the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Rope Rescue Requirement and Proficiency Affidavit signed by the Fire Chief or Chief Training Officer. This affidavit will enable you to challenge the Commission's exam for the Rope Rescue Awareness/Operations (RRAO) Certification.
